Nexus directors, Smith & Foulkes, have created a dynamic new spot for Venables and Bell and Intel's incredible new Core i5 processor - a breakneck, all-action chase scene which is the perfect showcase for the new processor's amazing capacity. Using a dynamic mix of live action and animation, Smith & Foulkes used every trick in the action movie book and got some hot insider tips from their DOP, Oliver Wood, of Bourne trilogy fame, to create this thrilling spot. Adam and Alan bring the full force of their animation directing expertise to the piece, with the action taking place in a series of software windows which open at full pelt. The result is a fantastically clever dash as we follow the heroine's journey through a myriad of windows in her bid to outwit the baddies.
The Creators Project Blog: "The film opens and closes multiple windows in much the same way that The Wilderness Downtown does. However, unlike that music video, a majority of the screens used are narratively motivated to enhance the experience."
"While it’s doubtful that transmedia film experiments like these will replace the traditional cinematic form,
they do provide compelling new storytelling structures and narrative devices that enable filmmakers to expand the scope of the information being relayed to their audience and customize each viewer’s experience of the work. Could this be a whole new genre in the making?"
